About Me

J. Koe is a software engineer, dancer, and maker based in Los Angeles. Her current project “It’s Sew Lit!” is a growing collection of dancewear and other cloth-based items with electronic components embedded in them. When not puttering around work, she likes to bake cookies and hop on the Metro to explore the city (though not at the same time).

One of the occasional ventures into clothes making: overalls and matching bow as part of for an upcoming aerial performance costume! Not my usual kind of project because normally I don’t have the patience to finish bigger pieces, but made it through and the fabric is also very fall-ish (from @joann_stores) so figured it was appropriate to share for the season. Designing it to be aerial-silks-compatible meant some considerations to make sure everything was secure without getting snagged on the fabric too heh. #costume #overalls #sewing #makersgonnamake #handmadewithjoann #clothing #sewersgonnasew
